The international research conducted at the Üçağızlı II Cave in Hatay has made significant contributions to human history by revealing that Neanderthals and Homo sapiens may have exhibited shared cultural behaviors for approximately 20,000 years. This valuable study was published in PNAS, one of the world's most prestigious scientific journals, with Prof. Dr. Derya Silibolatlaz Baykara, a faculty member of our Institute for Migration, as a co-author. We congratulate her and wish her continued success in her valuable contributions to the scientific world.
